Dear Friends of Prairie Fire,

Regrettably, our ad revenues have fallen below the $15,000 per month that it takes to design, layout, print, and distribute Prairie Fire to our (up to) 100,000 readers across seven states. Despite our willingness to examine alternative business plan models, we have been unable to come up with any that would duplicate the revenues that we were able to generate for eight years. 

Moreover, despite innumerable attempts, we have not been able to assemble a large enough advertising staff to accomplish those revenue goals. There is always the possibility that a sufficient revenue strategy will emerge, but our level of optimism (for that scenario) is currently low. We seem to need Prairie Fire now, more than ever.
